About Me

I put my career on hold in order to write a tribute to my gay brother and his partner and their journey with terminal cancer. This labour of love, entitled Goodnight Doll, rekindled my passion for non-academic writing, facilitating the start of a new career as a writer. Writing has always been part of my life and I have published a number of books and many articles in relevant academic journals within my specialism.

I have had a multifaceted international career within industry, followed by one as an academic and an international executive coach for 20 years, supporting the leadership capacity and development of executives in both public and private organisations. The theme of applied research and knowledge transfer has influenced most of the activities within my career. I have also designed and delivered many bespoke in-house leadership, coaching and mentoring programmes for international organisations, both public and private.

Having always lived a nomadic life, I continue to travel or spend my time in the East Midlands, North East of England and the South of France where I do much of my writing.
